We are a relatively new fencing club based in the west of Newcastle upon Tyne.

When do we meet?

Every Thursday from 7:00 pm until 9:30 pm

We do not stop over the school holidays

Where do we meet?

All Saints Community College, West Denton.

Please see location page for directions.

Also at Royal Grammar School, Eskdale Terrace, on Mondays from 7:00pm to 9:30pm (only term time).

What do we do during a normal night?

This can vary a lot depending on what members want, but a typical night would be:

20 mins - warm up games

40 mins - footwork exercises

40 mins - bladework exercises

60 mins - Freeplay / individual lessons (by arrangement with the coach)

               We normally put out two electric pistes during the freeplay.

How much does it cost?

We charge £5 per session for members, or £7 for non-members. If you have never fenced before, you are welcome to come along to give it a try.

What about kit?

We will provide equipment for beginners, but you do need to wear long trousers; Bare legs and swords can be a painful combination. We recommend trainers, a t-shirt and tracksuit trousers.

There is some kit available for more experienced fencers as well if you need it.
